Module 15 Chapter 1
The Missing Connection
A language model can write a careful answer about a calendar it has never seen.
It can suggest which file to open without opening it. It can describe the weather without checking the sky. The words may sound capable, but the model is still working with whatever information reached its input.
Software can give a model ways to reach beyond that boundary. The difficult part used to be connecting every AI application to every outside system, one custom connection at a time.
The Model Context Protocol, usually called MCP, gives those connections a shared language.
